J.M. Coull, a full-service construction company specializing in construction management and design build project delivery, announced today the opening of its new office in Shelton, Connecticut. Thomas Zabel has been hired as Sr. Business Development Executive to lead business efforts in this office.
J.M. Coull, headquartered in Maynard, Massachusetts, was founded in 1984 to provide professional construction solutions to clients from a wide range of industries, including industrial manufacturing, warehousing, food processing, commercial office, medical office, retail and institutional. Since its founding, the firm has expanded their services to provide a full array of complete preconstruction, construction management and design build solutions.
“Opening an office in Connecticut will provide the company with a local foundation from which to better service our existing and future clients. We have been working successfully in Connecticut for almost ten years now, and are currently working for a number of customers in Connecticut so it makes good business sense for us put down roots in the area,” said Andrew Coull, president of J.M. Coull. “Our existing customers will be better served by the proximity of our staff in Connecticut and we will have the opportunity to reach out to clients who need the services of an experienced construction firm. Building upon our wide range of project experience from 25 years in business, J.M. Coull is well positioned to bring service and value to the construction needs of the CT market.”
Past Connecticut projects include work for F.W. Webb in New Haven, Hartford and Waterbury; two projects for Photronics in Brookfield; work for ATMI in Danbury; and projects for 3M Corporation and Enthone in West Haven. Currently, the company is also working in Wilton on an intense cleanroom fitup project.
To lead business development efforts for the future growth of the Connecticut office, J.M. Coull has hired Thomas Zabel as Sr. Business development Executive.
A resident of Burlington, Connecticut, Thomas Zabel brings over thirty years of construction related experience, working for companies such as Delta Building Corporation, ZRE LLC, the O’Leary Company and Morin Corporation. He will have direct responsibility for implementing specific aspects of J.M. Coull’s marketing plan in order to position the firm as a leader within the Connecticut construction services market. He will oversee all of the business development activities for the Connecticut office with the ultimate goal of generating growth within Connecticut and he will take an active role in mentoring new staff as the Connecticut office expands. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural engineering from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York and holds a Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License.
“I joined J.M. Coull because the company has similar values to those I held when running my own business. The company seeks to provide the best solution for the client, for the best value and recognizes that the relationships are one of the most valuable resources in the building delivery,” said Zabel. “J.M. Coull is forward thinking and is open to embracing new technologies and methods of business.” |
